FANCI HAS COME A LONG WAY.
From small beginnings as a retailer of wedding rings to a designer, retailer and manufacturer of bespoke fine jewellery,
The FANCI of today has evolved a long way from its beginnings in 2007. The company was originally formed to offer engaged couples bespoke wedding rings and acted as the go-between for the customer and the goldsmith, all whist operating from a spare bedroom!
Having grown out of the spare bedroom the company moved into its first shop, giving customers a place to sit and discuss design options. After a couple of years, the company, then known as The Ring Studio, once again needed more space which led the business to London Road where they remain.
The growth of the company continued and, instead of being the go-between, the company employed its own team of goldsmiths and invested in technology such as Computer Aided Design, a laser welder, a laser engraving machine, a 3D scanner and a 3D printer. This embrace of technology coupled with a growing reputation for quality and unrivalled value followed, as did making the Finalist short list on two separate occasions in the UK Jewellery Awards, a national competition and an achievement to be proud of!
So, why the name change?
As the business has grown and evolved the company began to design and manufacture more than just rings. In house design and manufacture allows the company to supply a wide and varied selection of different pieces of jewellery as well as offering a re-modelling of existing jewellery and a full on-site repairs service. The name FANCI is more representative of what the company has evolved into; a designer and manufacturer of bespoke, fine jewellery.
