For those preferring to say “I do” in the great outdoors, our fully licensed private Walled Garden offers a beautiful setting for you and your guests.

Surrounded by countryside, it’s often easy to forget that Old Thorns is conveniently located just minutes from the A3, and just 30 minutes from Portsmouth and Guildford. For your guests travelling from further afield, there is plenty of accommodation on site, from traditional hotel rooms to our modern self-catering apartments which are extremely popular with wedding parties. There are even glamping style eco-pods for any of your guests that may be on a budget or just looking for something a bit different.

One of the real “wow” factors for weddings at Old Thorns are the amazing photo opportunities – after all, once your wedding day is over, your photos are what you will treasure to remind you of your day. Our glass corridor with its twinkling fairy lights provides a great setting for photographs and our terraces provide fantastic group shot opportunities. But our couples really fall in love with the view from the elevated 5th tee where you’ll be able to create stunning photographs that will proudly take pride of place on your wall for years to come.
